Villa Le Scale
Villa Le Scale is a luxurious hotel on Capri, one of the most beautiful islands in Europe. Capri was a Roman tourist resort long before Tiberius lived in Villa Jovis during the lifetime of Jesus Christ. To this day, it is home to the rich and famous: the rest of us must make do with a fleeting visit lured by its phenomenal beauty and one of the world's most picturesque and spectacular journeys - the Amalfi Coast.
Villa Le Scale is one of a few historic homes in Anacapri, the larger of the two towns on the island. This is a neo-classic mansion hotel set in a scented Eden of pomegranate, magnolia and hibiscus. Eight Baronial Rooms and a private suite are impeccably furnished with art and antiques, and complemented with every contemporary luxury. Indeed, one must marvel at the way modern technology has been assimilated into this grand old property: the heated pool, solarium and the hydro-massage suite, for example. For those not tempted by the regional attractions, the bar serves a delicious snack by the pool. For adventurous gourmets, the area is famed for its Neapolitan cuisine.
Villas Le Scale is situated in Anacapri, the second village on Italy's diamond island of Capri. Anacapri is linked by chair lift to Monte Solaro, which boasts the best views over the island. Nearby, Capri village is home to the ancient monastery, Certosa San Giacomo and Giardini di Augusto gardens which also has spectacular coastal views. Via Krupp leads to Marina Piccola, a favourite spot for summer swimmers. Villas Le Scale is 40 kilometres from Capodichino International Airport, about 1 hour and 30 minutes by car/boat.

Description: The Collector's Room -
Once, the master bedroom, the room still houses a fabulous collection of Neapolitan paintings from the 1700's which form a splendid backdrop to the beautiful fabrics that drape the bed. There is a spacious bathroom with Jacuzzi and from the large terrace over the garden there is a sea view.
The Venetian Room -
The highlight of this impressive room is the 18th century Venetian bookcase, placed at the entrance to the boudoir, which has a large Turkish bath crafted in Scagliola. An exquisite marble table, just perfect for breakfast to be served upon, enhances the enchanting flower decked terrace with sea view.
The Voyager Room -
Rare Artefacts and souvenirs brought back from voyages to Asia and South America create an exotic atmosphere in this splendid room. From the large four-poster bed, hung with beautiful light coloured drapes, one can look out towards the spacious terrace with sea view.
The Louis XVI Room -
An exquisite Louis XVI boiserie panels an entire wall and inspires the name of this sumptuous room with it's large four-poster bed. The bathroom is in Scagliaola and has a plunge pool. The charming terrace looks out over the delicately perfumed garden.
On request, the whole villa, complete with staff, is available for events and week long stays

Description:
The Artist's Room -
The delightful frescos in the Artist Room, inspired by the era of the fabulous Marchigiana bookcase, are the work of well-known artist Enrica Capone. A splendid bathroom in white marble mosaic with two antique washbasins dating back to the 18th century complete the furnishing. There is a window door facing Monte Solaro, no terrace.
The Oriental Room -
Situated at the very top of the villa, this room is furnished with Chinese antiques and co-ordinating hand-embroidered fabrics. The bathroom and shower are covered in in copper infused Venetian glass mosaic tile. This room does not have a terrace.
The Empire Room -
Large sky-lit bedroom with fully functional Empire marble bathtub, separate enclosed stone shower, walk-in closet, dressing area, Art Nouveau sitting area and secluded patio.
The Pool Room - Contemporary studio complete with oversized marble bathroom with sky-lit plunge pool, kitchenette, walk-in closet, sitting area and secluded patio.
The Garden Suite - The newly renovated "Garden Suite" encompasses a large bedroom and separate living room, two walk-in closets, kitchenette, sitting area, two bathrooms with marble plunge pool and private secluded patio.
