A location to dream in, this is the Furore Inn Resort. A jewel perched on the Amalfi Coast, between Positano and Amalfi, in Furore at the beginning of "Via dell'Amore". Here you will find that typical Mediterranean welcoming atmosphere combined with the attention you deserve to promote well-being of mind and body.
Light and sea, are reflected in the predominant colours of blue and white, of its rooms, and suites. Overlooking the sea are the restaurant’s dining rooms and terraces, here in “ La Volpe Pescatrice” (The Fishing Vixen), where local and traditional ancient recipes, are married well with a modern concept of health and well-being.The new addition, the Italian Touch Restaurant awaits you for fine and gourmet dining, in an exclusive setting. It is that same concept that has promoted the creation of the Beauty Furore and Spa, aimed at offering personalised treatments, to help combat problems caused by modern-day living. The Furore Inn Resort is this and more besides...
It is the place where one can live and enjoy a new experience, be it holiday and adventure, fitness and well-being, music and silence, recreation and meditation, with no limits, to your own fantasy.....
Alfred Driou, on his way from Capri to Paestum, arrived in Furore in the eighteen hundred and surprised by the savage beauty of the rocks of Furore, and by the silence of the place, on leaving wrote : Never an artist will be able to paint places so fantastic still real, so savage yet magnificent, that are along the Amalfi Coast swayed smoothly by the wawes….

“Truly a wonderful experience at Furore Inn!”*******************
We have just returned from a 3 nights/4 days stay at Furore after an unforgettable, cultural visit to old and new Pompeii (~1 hour drive). This is our second trip to the Amalfi coast and have stayed at all three door-to-door luxury hotels in Ravello. Furore is truly unique in that it is nestled in a tranquil, relaxing part of the Amalfi coast, away from the hustle and bustle of tourist buses and souvenir shops. It was a perfect relaxing end to our trip from our tired legs and feet from walking all day in the sweltering heat of old Pompeii in June. You can wake up to a spectacular South-facing picturesque view, meaning all day sun exposure perfect for sipping wine/drinks at the 3 pools (unlike in Ravello where you have to catch the early to mid-day sun). It was so quiet that you wake up to the birds chirping. We took advantage of the spa and loved the attention and full privacy of using the steam room, cold dipping bath, and sauna. They truly make an effort to make you feel relaxed and stress-free.
We were booked for a deluxe room, but they were all occupied. Courtesy of Mr. Simone Pepe, the front desk manager, handled the situation very professionally and upgraded us to a 2-story suite the following night it was available. For the first night, we were placed in a smaller room with a jacuzzi, but had a spacious terrace with a spectacular open sea view. We were then easily transfered to the 2-story suite (adjacent to the spa) with a lovely arched sea-side view from the bedroom, . Although the hotel was booked that weekend, the grounds of the resort are so expansive that you can sometimes feel like you're all alone at the hotel with full attention and service from a very courteous staff.
We were also fortunate enough to catch a stunning full reddish moon glimmering above the sea in the evening, setting the mood for our romantic dinners at the hotel restaurants. We highly recommend the Local Tasting Menu at the higher end restaurant nearby the olympic size pool. We also enjoyed having drinks at the bar with an unexpected long list of selections to choose from.
Altogether, we had a fantastic time at Furore! As a guest, you get to experience well-executed first-class service that is yet unpretentious, a quality that is no longer appreciated in so-called five-star hotels.
Understand that this is our 2nd visit to the Amalfi coast and have visited Ravello, Scala, Minori, Maiori, Amalfi and Atrani. Our goal this time was to experience a less touristy, relaxing type of vacation. We did take a visit to Positano (1 hr drive away) and couldn't wait to come back to Furore.
Be sure to view the fjord and bridge down below for which Furore is named for. One of the highlights of the Amalfi coast.

“"Italian Touch" ...a matter of fact!”**************************
Amazing position, perched on the cliff that overlook the bluest sea, stands this lovely resort. Just 22 rooms, plenty of space, 3 pools and terraced garden and...the most amazing restaurant! There are 2, actually, la "Volpe Pescatrice", and "Italian Touch". The first one sticks to a more traditional menu, but with creativity and ecellente quality, whilst the second is the best dining experience one can expect. I like to call it "experience" as "dinner" does not really pay it justice. Alfonso is the sommelier, young but very professional and experienced; Antonio the maitre, excellent, ironic, dicreet. Antonio Sorrentino the chef: a master! Superbe local ingredient are mixed with intelligence and balance. Influences and touches by international flavour are used. Do not miss his "7 chocolates dessert"...indulge yourself! After all, they even have a Spa, for your "remise en forme"...I wish I had stayed longer!
